The past few weeks have been a constant whirlwind of 12-15 hour days at the airport and several hours on the road. It was wonderful to spend the holidays with family, though, so the constant traveling was well worth it.

This was my de facto travel outfit. I think I ended up wearing it 2 out of 3 travel days. The sweater is superbly warm (so much so that in snow I didn’t need a coat!), the boots are warm, comfortable, and easy to get on/off, and the pants easy to move in. Fashion for travel: I think it should be more than Ugg boots and Juicy sweats, but there’s no way I’m traveling in to the Land of Narnia in stilettos.
And let’s talk about these two most important points: a) how ridiculously tired I look (and that the Beau is so tired nothing is in focus), and b) how beautiful the Indianapolis airport is! I absolutely love it. It has the most amazing heat sensitive light display in a walkway, gorgeous glass art installations in the terminals, and the most delicious 7-layer carrot cake ever. There’s a reason this airport is rated #1 in the country.
What I Wore:
Tolani Leopard Print Scarf
Gap Favorite Long-Sleeved Tee
Enzo Mantovani Gradient Striped Cardigan – c/o (find at Costco!)
Seven7 5 Pocket Skinny Jeans (n/a)
Ugg Boots (n/a)

Glad to hear you had a nice time over the holidays! I always look forward to them, enjoy them, and am so exhausted afterwards. But I agree, definitely worth it.

Yes! I definitely didn’t expect the exhaustion…. bad me.
Glad you had a lovely holiday! Living only two hours away, I’ve actually never been to that airport but now I might just have to check it out. The carrot cake has inspired me! :)

It’s at Cafe Patachou! And it’s super delicious. Next time you fly out, go through Indy!
You were in Indy?! You should come up here to Louisville sometime! That would be awesome!
Anyway, I, too, try to dress up for travel, as the thought of sweatpants and Uggs horrify me. That said, I would love to see you travel to the land of Narnia in stilettos. Gold stilettos!
Happy 2012 Ashe! xoxoxoxoxo

I’d be so afraid to slip on all that ice in stilettos! I’m horrible at walking on ice!
I think you look great! It’s wonderful to mix comfort and style so effortlessly.

Thank you, Elle! It was such an easy outfit to wear, which is really, REALLY what I’m after. And super cozy! I wish it were chilly enough in NOLA to wear that sweater.
Was so great to read your article on IFB!! Nice to meet you…

Nice to meet you too, Sharon! I hope to hear more from you. xoxo
I really don’t mean to be a blog stalker, but were you — perchance! — on a flight to/through Nashville or Austin on December 30?
A girl sat down next to me who looked so familiar, but I didn’t know why. It wasn’t until I was catching up on Dramatis Personae that I thought it could be you? Wearing a bow ring? Yes, no, maybe so?
I now conclude my creepiest blog comment ever.
No! Not creepy at all, Abby–promise :) Super flattering, actually!
Sadly, all my flights went through Newark, NJ (worst airport EVER). It’d have been much nicer to go through Nashville or Austin, & more practical for our route!
That being said, my doppleganger sounds cute–a bow ring? Yes please!
