After sharing the post & interview with Emily and Amanda of Ureshii, they were super kind and offered to send me some pieces from their shop. I felt like a kid in a candy shop, and Miss Malaprop can attest to how annoying my enthusiasm and excitement was. I picked out the bubble mini, the Penny Candy dress, and leggings.
I received my package this past Saturday– overall, the process from order to completion to shipment received took about 2-3 weeks. I’m sure that’s because there were a good 2-3 days of me dawdling and trying to figure out what colors to pick out.

I opted to wear the Leggings and Bubble Mini to skirt recently. I was crampy and worried about my car, plus it’s been so warm. So that demanded cozy. And cozy I was. I’ve been in the leggings pretty much non-stop since they arrived (a sure sign I’ll need to order more pairs).
The leggings and skirt fit pretty damned perfectly. I love that the leggings don’t give me muffin top like store bought leggings tend to. It was a real shock to be able to wear leggings that hit on my low waist/upper hips, and that laid flat against me. I’m so used to having to wear them up to my armpits on my natural waist in order for them to create a nice look under skirts and dresses.
I know several ladies were concerned and wondered how the fabrics would fit against their curvier bits– I couldn’t get a good photo of the leggings alone because they have a slight sheen, but I found that the fabric feels a bit thicker, sturdier– it seemed to nicely smooth over my lumpy bits (and no muffin top! I love that.). The fabrics overall are really comfortable and firm, and for some pieces, like the Penny Candy dress, the ladies use a double layer of fabric for a more flattering fit. Mallory at Miss Malaprop has a dress like that, and it’s 2 layers– which also helps in feeling less exposed in a body con piece!

Next time I’ll learn to check my waist band when taking photos. Doh.
I’m sure there are people who’d question why a plus size girl would get a bubble skirt– they’re not exactly known to be flattering on many body types. I loved that the flat waist band calls attention to my smaller waist and curves, while adding some volume on my hips and flat bottom. It’s also really nice on days when I may feel bloated or have eaten too much– a bit extra wiggle room!
I can’t wait to show off the Penny Candy dress and give you more feedback and insight on how the ordering and making process went– the skirt and leggings were the easiest part of the order. Next up I’ll tell you why I’m certain Emily may have wanted to hit me, and how amazing & patient & great with communication both she AND Amanda are!

Gorgeous – I love the contrast of bright on dark, it always looks so good. Your whole outfit looks super comfy, too!
My mom used to make me wear those leggings with the foot straps when I was little and to this day I can’t wear them without freaking out. Which is sad because I like the kind of dancer feel they have going on.
I’m pretty sure stirrups were on that list of “Things I’ll never wear again,” but I love how these are slightly different than the 80s ones I wore… plus I tend to pull the bottoms of my regular leggings over my feet…. so these just kind of WORK, you know? And I love the dancer feel…
That turquoise colour is just gorgeous on you!

Haha…love to see you hamming it up. So many fashion bloggers are sooo serious in their pics. Cool to see you havin fun, miss!
Oh, I can’t not have fun in pictures. I always get so weirded out by bloggers who won’t ever smile! I tried to be serious in some pictures I’ll post soon, and I feel silly in them.
There’s no reason why plus girls should have to hide under baggy clothes. The skirt looks hot and very nice with the leggings!
Your hair is gorgeous! I like the color combo (this includes your hair hehe!), and leggings are just so comfy. Unfortunately it is so hot in Spain that bare legs are the only option!

Thank you! Esp on the hair (which I recently colored to be lighter and chopped a few inches off). I do dig the lighter, more vibrant look…
It’s so hot here that bare legs are really the best option, I just can’t stand the sweaty feeling they get though!
I love that bubble mini! Thank you for the pics! You look great!
Oh and um, I can’t wait to see the Penny Candy on you. I love that piece.
Yay! Outfit pix.
Next online order: Ureshii leggings.
Your outfit is super cute.

Super cute!
My biggest problem with leggings is that if they are big enough to fit my belly, they flap around my ankles. I have very thin ankles! They end up looking less like leggings and more like very tight pants! Maybe I should try these.

Definitely check out Ureshii! They’re custom sized, so if you sent them the measurement of your ankles, they’d probably slim them down for a perfect fit!
how can anyone be sad in such a happy bubble skirt!
you look gorgeous, and i love the row of wigs in the background.

That skirt is so cute. If made well, they can work so well on curvy girls. =D
Can’t wait to see the new dress. It already sounds fun and adorable.
You look so cute! I love the color of the skirt, its beautiful. I wear leggings 80% of the time (tights the other 20%) they’re the comfiest thing in the world!

Super comfy! (And I dig the whole thighs not touching thing, which wigs me out.) I just wish more tights were as comfy as leggings!
I lol at the pulling the band up to armpits part. I’ve been in that boat!
You look awesome!

I HATE having to pull them up so far! It’s so annoying! But really, it’s the only way they’d be comfy otherwise…
I absolutely love the shade of that skirt! Greens don’t make an appearance in my wardrobe often, but I would totally wear this.
P.S. I like the “KEEP CALM & CARRY ON” poster in the back…did you make it yourself or buy it somewhere? I’ve seen that image online but didn’t know it was available poster-size!

Erica, I bought the poster! I have one in my office at work too– haha, all the places I need to remember to keep calm ;) I found mine on Etsy, because I wanted a particular size… you can find them on Amazon, too!
cute skirt!
I like the skirt! I like making my hips look fuller (even though they are already big) there is just something feminine about it. I was about to check out the site, but alas, etsy is blocked at work. (I guess to stop our creative shopping???)

Grey & blue in a steely hue are one of my fav combos, color blocking is an art form to many, the blue bubble skirt is a great fashion statement kind of like a “statement skirt.” It is also obvious the outfit fits you to a tee b/c of your happiness wearing it. I think that is what style is, is when you feel yourself in your clothes. The only thing I felt missing and perhaps that’s because we are all bombarded with shimmer & shine, is having a bracelet or bauble you fancy even a scarf to trio the outfit. As in music 3 cords and the truth color, is like that in an outfit. Crisscross bag, aqua 50′s jewelry, or a pop of color with neon fingerless gloves. You have a great attitude somehow it translates through space & you like fashion as much as me. Toodles leotajane
