How Men & Women are Different: Behind the Scenes of The Man Project from Rabbit White. Men & their emotions.
I’ve written about Members Only Shopping Sites and their potential for addictions. I loved Yuli Ziv’s post, On Private Sales, Gambling, and Danger of Innovation.
Fat is not a feeling at the Curvy Fashionista. I’m guilty of saying this– are you?
Sal at Already Pretty shared this recent shopping experience with Cydwoq’s–while it’s been rather happily resolved, this infuriates me to no end. In a time when spending is down and people are being more thoughtful about where their money is going, customer service should be up. Yet, I have more and more experiences with companies are letting their customer service suffer.
Suffering from Shopping Shame at Ms. Thought. Another thing I’m horribly guilty of– and it runs the whole spectrum of shame for buying too much to shame when I don’t want to spend at all.
Just a thought–Recovering Fashion Victim at Final Fashion is an honest and sincere topic about being in the fashion world– what if we don’t have that innate sense of style?
Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Breaking the Male Gaze: A Close Reading of “Alejandro” at Fatshionista is brilliant and really appeals to the academic in me. Though the “hasn’t been in school in a few years” side of me got a little “HUH? PUPPIES?!” after a few paragraphs. Obviously I need to read more and spend less time online looking at clothes.
The Seventeen Project follows one 18 year old as she tries to live a month through the gospel of Seventeen magazine. Jamie, writer behind the belong, is incredibly bright and well written. I wish I’d had her thoughtfulness my senior year of high school.
Ellen Von Unwerth creates the naughtiest, sexiest, fairy tale movie, A Naughty Fairytale, for Vs. Magazine. What I love about EvU is how erotic her imagery is, without necessarily being explicit (though this video has playful BDSM, girl on girl action, etc., and is more explicit than many of her photoshoots).

I just love the words that open this post. I am working on all those things quite intently at the moment.

Love these, Ashe Mischief! And that’s so true – fat ISN’T a feeling, nor is it usually a reality. It’s a PERCEPTION!
This is a great roundup, Ashe.
