Fall Fantasy Lookbook

by Ashley on September 9, 2010

We’re ALLLLLLL so over summer and ready for fall.  For those in San Francisco, who don’t know when they have a good thing, I give a playful:

Because fer real, it’s been 109 with the heat index and I’d give anything for 65.  So while I’m stuck fantasizing about my fall wardrobe, those suckers in the Pacific Northwest are enjoying the weather.  And I’m counting down the days until the temperature drops and packing away my wool & down coats, because I’m pretty sure I’ll have no need for them in New Orleans.

zipper pants, high waist pants, studded oxfords,

Zip Trim Skinny Jeans & High Waist Jeans – City Chic
Pink & Blue Through & Through Top – Ruche
Buckle Ankle Boot & Studded Oxford – Dolce Vita for Target

plus size tutu, plus size sequin jacket, plus size vest

Joanna Hope Sequin Jacket – Simply Be
Modern Workday Vest – Faith 21 / Forever 21
Rose Petticoat and Violet Petticoat – Torrid (I am CRAZY about these…been wanting them since I saw them in the store.)

dr marten regina, dr marten darla, dr marten darcie, simply be mica jacket

Floral Lace Tights– Torrid
Mica coat– Simply Be
Dr Martens GALORE (Regina, Darla, & Darcies [cheaper on Amazon! Also, turquoise & plaid!], also seen here & here).

What about you, sweet Autumn Nymph? Are you counting down the days til Autumn (Sept. 23! and the return of Supernatural! Spooky night indeed)?  Or are you basking in those last hot days & warm nights of summer?  More importantly–what are you dying for for next season?

Your lookbook is positively delicious!

Hahaha but you know we have our revenge when it’s February and can still go outside when those Northerners are freezing and stuck indoors!

Love these looks, especially your tutus and patterned tights! xo

It’s so true! But we kind of miss out on the beautiful change in foliage this time of year too….

Laura Connell September 10, 2010 at 9:07 am

I’m all about the patterned tights. So sexy. Trick is not to wear a too short skirt or you look like a skank. Best thing about fall is you can slack off on the leg waxing for a while!

What’s up doc? Indeed! That last pair is particularly gorgeous.

It’s starting to cool down in the garden state. Hmm. I wonder. Vintage silk dresses layered over jeans & textured knit dresses over tights. Layers upon layers of filmy scarves. Copper and oxidized chains, moonstone, hematite. Espressos, chocolates, umbers, rusts, siennas, olives, taupes. Deeply resinous fragrances, redolent of incense and dark woods.

L’automne – je suis prêt !

You write the loveliest descriptions! Gah, it’s perfect. I especially love the idea of incorporating deep fragrances in to your autumn wear <3

SO READY FOR FALL. But you already know that since we just talked about this. Also, thank you for introducing me to Dolce Vita for Target! I totally missed the news that this was going down.

Amy September 9, 2010 at 1:06 pm

I blow raspberries at you! Today’s temperature is 62 degrees.

I love the Ruche top and the sequined Simply Be jacket. Have you gotten anything from either website? How’s the quality? And how awesome is Ruche for having plus sizes now?!

Ashe Mischief September 9, 2010 at 1:14 pm

I haven’t gotten anything from either site yet! But as soon as I do, you KNOW that I’ll let you all know what the quality is like… and it’s SO awesome for Ruche to have plus-sizes now! Their stuff is great.

I tried on the skinny jeans today at City Chic! The jeans are AMAZING up close, but I can never find ones that look ‘right’ on me.

I’m totally in love with the Torrid TuTus, alas tehe shipping to Australia is horrendous & I can’t justify it! And oh the boots! So pretty!

You have such great style!

Ashe Mischief September 9, 2010 at 1:11 pm

It’s great to hear that the quality is good from City Chic, though I totally have the same fear about them looking “right”. But I understand that shipping– I’m reluctant to buy the jeans because of shipping to the US!

Lara September 9, 2010 at 11:35 am

I’m freezing already in the northern PNW. I love those high-waisted jeans though.

Ashe Mischief September 12, 2010 at 9:18 am

Trade you weather! :D

Christy September 9, 2010 at 10:52 am

I am all about one shoulder shirts and dresses all of a sudden! I want to buy a few this season.

Okay, enough caps.

Also, the high waisted jeans from City Chic have been on my list as well – and get those Dolce Vita booties! They are the best thing to happen to me!

Ashe Mischief September 9, 2010 at 10:45 am

Girl, you’re the reason I’m coveting those City Chic jeans! I think I first saw them on your blog and was all like OH HAALLLLOOOOOO!

And aren’t the tutus AMAZING? They’re not as super see-through as I’d have expected either… and I think they’re on sale now for like $18????
