OMG Shoes: Cute Clarks for Comfy Feet

I was on 6pm.com and saw a sale for Clarks…. I don’t really fancy myself a Clarks girl.  Lately I’ve been wanting shoes– cute little heels, but “practical” heels. Something with a more modest heel (than I typically buy), something super comfortable.  Easy task, no?  This is why I thought I’d check out the Clarks… for that “maybe if” moment….

I kinda associate Clarks with mom’s (or at least my mom) and grandmum’s, hippies and college professors… and while there were were a lot of older lady variety, there were a few that fell in to “wearable for the young, sexy, fashionably savvy girl” pile… especially when it came to nice “basics”…

Boots & Booties for Autumn & Winter

Clarks “January Hi”- Sexy riding boots? Check.  Awesome pirate aesthetic? check. Wide range of styles left? Yes.  And for under $100? OH HAIL YEAH!

Clarks “Loyal”- Stretch panel to accommodate a wide range of calves? Awesome.  Sexy ankle buckle detail? Nice moderate heel?

Clarks “Diamond Exchange” - Witchy, Steampunk-y, and 80s Madonna-y all in one! (Say it with me now, YESSSSSSS!) Also in light brown/tan for those boarding airships or Firefly.  Do I love these most of all? Maybe yes, maybe yes I do.

Clarks “Peralta” – Love the cute button detail on the ankle. These seem like a nice Fall/Winter ankle bootie… and they come in brown, too.

Clarks “Diamond Color” – A slightly sexy, basic oxford. A more delicate shape, like Jane Slayre would wear while dusting vampires.  There’s tons of sexy and impractical oxfords out there… frankly, I can’t be tromping down busted New Orleans sidewalks & streets in 4″ $400 sexy oxfords– they’d be destroyed in minutes.  These would fair better and be super cute with modest dresses.

From the Indigo by Clarks line:

A girl friend once told me that the Indigo line by Clarks is like, it’s fun, cute, younger sister line.  While some of them are still too hippy-esque for me, there were some really cute pairs…

Indigo by Clarks “Musing” – I adore the vintage styling on these… the lovely burgundy color (and also a yummy chocolate brown).  This shoe would be super cute with Trashy Diva dresses and out swing dancing….not that I swing dance. But I could.

Indigo by Clarks “Dodie”- Another super cute, super sweet, and overall kind of basic, classic shoe. I’m in love with the vibrant purple color and double straps (they also come in black patent leather and dark grey patent leather). It says they run true to size, so I’m kind of upset that my size is out of the game.

Indigo by Clarks “Sara”- another great black boot… I love the simple shape of these.  I’m SO picky about my black knee high boots, that I don’t own any… but if I did, these might be in my closet.

*Note–they have a TON of sandals on there right now. But I don’t really wear sandals, and therefore don’t really know what makes a cute sandal. I’d think, “Those are kind of cute…” but then second guess myself as to whether they were cute or not.  So you’ll have to check those out yourself.
