Arrived! Alice in Wonderland for Urban Decay

by Ashe on January 26, 2010

Recently, I wrote excitedly about Urban Decay’s new Alice in Wonderland shadow set.  When it went on sale, I hurriedly snatched up a set– and to my glee, it arrived Friday! It’s currently sold out, but I hear that within the next month or two that Sephora will also be carrying it. A whooping $52 gets you a whooping 16 eyeshadows, 2 full-sized eyeliners, and a trial size of the primer potion. A really fantastic deal if you ask me.  Especially when you see the size of it…

(Sexy thumb action to give you an indication of scale!)

All of the shadows are renamed from Urban Decay’s original line-up, so if you’re curious what the colors are, they are as follows:

Underland (Flash), Alice (Painkiller), Oraculum (Baked), Queen (Last Call), Chessur (Chopper), White Rabbit (Polyester Bride), Wonderland (Maui Wowie), Curiouser (Grifter), Muchness (X), Mushroom (Mushroom), Midnight Tea Party (Midnight Cowboy Rides Again), Vorpal (S&M), Absolem (Homegrown), Drink Me, Eat Me (Sin), Mad Hatter (Twice Baked), Jabberwocky (Oil Slick).

Frankly, I love the Alice names better than most of the originals.  Did anyone else pick this up?

WANT.

I adore their palettes. They are a much better bargain than the individual shadows, and um, Alice in Wonderland? Yes, please! I hadn’t even heardabout this–thanks for the heads up!

Oh wow…the last thing I need right now is to spend money on cosmetics, but…wow, that’s so pretty. Maybe if I get a windfall in the next couples of weeks…. ;-)

I actually work for Urban Decay and I am so excited to see you writing about our new palette! How awesome is the pop up of Alice in the Mushroom Forest? Make sure to check out the new Stardust eyeshadows, they are super chic.

I would be clueless at what to do with so many eyeshadows, unfortunately. It sure is nicely packaged!

I was so bummed when I showed up at Urban Decay’s site a day after these came out and they were already sold out. :( However I put my name on the waiting list and then also heard they’re coming out in Sephora soon…so fingers crossed…hope to own one too very soon!

Oh dear! I’m such a sucker for packaging… and Alice in Wonderland and popup books! I collect editions of Alice in Wonderland, and I even have one that’s a popup. Looks like I’ll be another $52 down soon enough…

Rococo, you & I have a lot in common it seems…. and this definitely seems like the perfect piece for your collection (and your lovely face, I’m sure, too!).

It is gooooorgeous. I’ll keep an eye out for it being restocked…the price is much better than buying the shades individually and it takes me FOREVER to go through eyeshadow anyways!

Every time I see a photo of this I want it even more. Unfortunately it’s not out in the UK until March according to another blog I read.

I really want to get this, but I find I often let palettes go to waste …. I’d love to get it just for the box though. From the way it is designed, would it still be useful to hold anything after the makeup is gone?
