Oh-My-God, Shoes! OZONE Socks Review

by Ashe Mischief on June 3, 2009

A small confession: when I act like I love shoes, it’s not just shoes I love. It’s pretty much anything I can put on my feet. Especially socks. Or socks and tights. Or socks, tights, and legwarmers.

It’s really a sickening habit… my mother doesn’t leave from visiting without buying me a new pair of socks. My dresser is 1/4 filled with socks & hosiery. In the interest of full disclosure, for years I didn’t wear white socks. I didn’t even own white socks.

Naturally, when Ozone Socks contacted me about their socks, my curiosity was piqued. When I actually went to their website, I actually started vibrating with excitement. I was practically panting and squealing in my cubicle, barely able to contain my excitement that not only was I looking at beautiful and fun socks, but they wanted to send me some for review.

I can’t tell you how many times that day I thanked the high heavens for my blogging addiction.

And wardrobe color palette friendly, too!

What is there to say about Ozone socks? Other than they’re quite honestly almost all I could want in a sock? They’re the perfect thick– strong enough that the pattern won’t snag & ruin, nor will they wear out too quickly. I loved how the designs didn’t have strings on the inside, but how it was integral to the sock.

The striped pair are probably my favorite right now; they’ve got this perfect amount of elasticity that make them even more soft & comfortable than the other two pairs. I’ve been wearing them at home & to bed nonstop. The band up top isn’t rigid (though the band on the polka dot pair is a bit more so– they’re a bit snug at the bottom of my German calves).

The collection at Ozone socks is wonderful. From babies to men and women, from anklets & no-sees to thigh highs and arm/legwarmers (they pull double duty!), I’m super impressed & super in love. I’m anxiously waiting for August to arrive so these flapper fringe socks can be mine.

And if they weren’t great enough, THERE IS A SOCK OF THE MONTH CLUB! Sorry, I think I’m my fashion geek is showing.

But really, just to secure & validate my feelings, I may need a pair of the Nordic Stripe socks in charcoal, please. *cough*

Fantastic!

I love patterned socks, I often wear them under jeans with heeled shoes so that you can see them when you sit down but not when standing.

So often they get holes in the toes though.

Socks. I love them! I’d be interested to know how long they last though, as I seem to blow through socks like you would not believe. haha

Sometimes I feel like a fashion blogger outcast because I like bags more than shoes… The socks look delightful though.

Rebecca, don’t feel like an outcast! I sometimes feel the same, because I’m much more a shoe girl than a bag girl… and it’s like I’m missing out on something…

Pugly, gosh, aren’t the Nordic socks gorgeous!? I LOVE them. I hadn’t heard of Ozone before this, but now I’m glad that I have!

@Birdie – I’ll be sure to let you know how long these guys last– they definitely seem thicker and stronger than the guys I buy at Target or Old Navy…
