OMG Shoes! Pour la Victoire

by Ashe on June 24, 2009

ohmygodshoes

Every once in awhile, I’m completely oblivious to the amazingness of a brand, even though everyone around me seeme keenly in tune with it.  Such is the case for Pour la Victoire, a brand I wasn’t familiar with.  Once I was familiar with them though, it seems like every other pair of shoes that I coveted were by them.

While they typically run in the $250-350 price range, I’ve found that with good searching, you can find them for much, much more affordably…

Amazon continues to have some of the best sale prices on shoes, and Pour la Victoire proves to be no exception. Currently dancing on my wishlist?

pourlavic-nude
Eden Peep Toe Oxford (aka My dream nude heel)

pourlavic-blue
Ophelie Mary Jane

pourlavib-colorblock

Felicia Open-toe Platform
(not as discounted as I would LOVE, but still so cute!)

Yum! Now if I can only fatten my pocket book up so that these can fatten my closet up… it’s really a toss up if I want the first or last pair more! (even more sadly, I’m in one of my “flats” phases–where all I want to wear & buy is flats! Le pout!)

Does anyone have any Pour la Victoire shoes? How are they in regards to sizing, comfort, etc?

I got the Ophelia’s in grey & white but they were far too snug across the top of the foot with the straps for me. Part of that is my high arch, so I sadly sent them back. But they were very very pretty.

Do they all have ridiculously high heels? I love the aesthetic, but I’m a flats girl–not into actual pain….

That first one is fabulous. And reminds me I have to dig out my beige peep-toes! Where the heck are they? Hmmm.

@Jennine@WendyB – That first pair really makes my heart swoon. They remind me of these purple Hale Bob heels that I didn’t buy & now regret passing on…

@Kathryn Fenner – They absolutely do have some flats! I almost featured a few of them, but I was iffy about them– I liked them, but I wasn’t sure if I LOVED THEM (& would buy them myself). I really only like to share those I’d buy myself in this series, but definitely peek around! There are some really beautiful flat styles out right now.

@Princess Poochie – I definitely have that fear myself when it comes to straps! I had to send back Corso Como’s for the same reason.

I don’t own any myself but I have seen some droolworthy designs; there was a pair on Zappos a while back that had sort of a reverse (or negative?) heel thing going on, that was on deep sale. Still wishing I would have picked up a pair!!

OMG! Those last ones…I’ve been looking for a fix to my Marni obsession, and those, THOSE are it!!!

Thank you, Ashe. =D

Oh, I like to compare Amazon, Zappos, and Endless…between those three, you’re going to get the best deal.

@Michelle – Shoe regret is one of the most haunting things in my life! I never forgive myself!

@Alicia – That’s an excellent tip about comparing the three sites… I find Zappos to be kind of lame on deals lately, so maybe 6pm.com is worth checking out? I did peruse Endless earlier, and while their prices weren’t better on these styles, they had some sizes the others didn’t…. which can make the extra $10-20 worth it!

I’m also glad that last pair has curbed your Marni craving! Now if we can just find them for less than $190 ;D

ASHE!! I put them in the cart at Amazon and they went down to $173. I don’t know how, but I’m not asking any questions. LOL.

You get full credit when these are bought. I mean…those look just like my HOLY GRAILS.

Oh, and if you’re an 8.5, bluefly has them for $138. Lord and Taylor has them for around that price in a size 10.

I was looking. HARD. LOL.

Those Nude peeptoes are stunning – and this is coming from a girl who doesn’t like nude shoes! Gorgeous, but so hard to get hold of across the water!

@Alicia – Goodness, you’re a horrible enabler! I’ve been thinking about the 8.5s on Lord & Taylor now… wondering….

@Lauren – If you’re seriously itching for them, let me know– we’d find way to get them overseas to you!

@jordana – Between you & Jennine, I can’t help but think they’d be greatly comfy shoes… and the nude is so stunning. I sigh over them regularly….

@knitkicks – I’m glad I’m not the only one in love with them! They’re so beautiful…
