This past week, a lovely treat arrived from Miss Malaprop; recently she opened up a 1000 Markets shop (which looks to be a fantastic alternative to Etsy, if you’re an independent seller or buyer), and her great new design is the NOLA Love t-shirt –which is what happened to be on my doorstep!
(Also, you can tell Miss M is channeling a bit of Rogue action with her silver streak. I’d be lying if I said I weren’t kind of jealous.)
The NOLA Love t-shirt is a simple design with a lot of impact for those who know, love, & support New Orleans. A fleur de lis is in the center of a heart–pierced by an arrow. If you’re a misplaced sparrow like I am, that arrow adds an extra layer of meaning. Is it any surprise these have been selling well at New Orleans’ craft markets??
What I love is that Miss Malaprop had these printed on Alternative Apparel’s great unisex Eco-Heather t-shirts. The Eco-Heather t-shirt is made from a blend of organic cotton, EcoSpun polyester (made from recycled plastic soda bottles) and rayon made from converted plant cellulose, making it super soft & yummy to wear. I’ve had mine on pretty much non-stop since I received it in the mail, which is an occasionally gross habit of mine–wearing something until it has to be washed!
