I had every intention of making this week’s Oh-My-God, Shoes! all about the wonderful beautiful shoes I bought for my birthday. But then John Fluevog posted his newest collection.
My new shoes will still be here next week; his collection, however, might not have that new shoe smell.

First we meet Miss Libby Smith, who reflects the playful side of Ashe. A bit timeless and a bit timely, perfect for romping and frolicking and dancing. I love these. So very much. Spat boots drive me insane, make my head dizzy. These are perfect– for a steampunk fashionista, historical style mama, or just a girl who loves beautiful shoes. There are also three color combos and it make my head dizzy.

Then there is the beautiful Sumatra heel: modest, humble, classic… but something about it is a bit naughty, a bit raunchy, and a bit arousing like a Gil Elvgren pin-up girl. Because all girls should own shoes that make them feel like a pin-up girl. The subtlety in this shoe reminds me of my girl Joan Holloway. I could see her rocking these in the office with a little swagger of her hips.

Then the beautiful, sexy, in your face Silverlake. You may have heard me whining that my calves would be too big for the Melrose Boot. Well it is like the shoe gods have heard mine cries and hath smiled upon thee, saying, “Ashe Mischief, you shall have your sexy boots, and ye shall wear them boldly!” Calf free, the way to be. Oh dear shoe gods, the fantasies I have about these booties, the ensembles I could wear them with…
As a result of my new found love, you too can make a contribution to the Ashe Mischief Shoe Acquisition & Preservation Fund.
Thank goodness that Fluevog stores have that time honored tradition called LAY-AWAY.
