February Monthly Goals

January’s Monthly Goals Update: January started off with full steam ahead– I was actively pushing towards my goals and fulfilling them, too. Then Mercury hit, and I kind of lost a lot of the momentum driving me forwards. With the exception of 1 writing project, I think I did well on accomplishing all of the other goals!

The January Challenge was difficult, especially the first two weeks of the month. Quitting cold turkey was very difficult. While neither the Faux Beau nor I managed to make it the entire month without eating out, we did manage to cut back substantially. Most of all, I think the biggest improvements were: I no longer like the taste of a lot of fast food or restaurants, and we both feel substantially healthier. Faux Beau complains that he has gained weight (I think he’s crazy) and that he wishes he were like me & didn’t like the taste anymore. Overall, the challenge was worthwhile, because we both are enjoying cooking and eating at home a lot more often.

February Challenge:

I’m making the February Challenge part of Miss Gala Darling’s iCiNG Transformation Challenge; it makes sense since the two will be coinciding together time wise, and their goals are the same.

Where Soul Meets Body: Part of this month’s goal is an extension of last month’s– I want to continue to eat out minimally. So I’m setting a financial budget for myself, $40 for the month, and that’s all that I’m allowed to eat out on.  One problem that the FB & I noticed last month was that, in eating home, we were actually eating far fewer vegetables than when we ate out.  So part of this month’s challenge is to incorporate 1-2 veggies (ideally, half a plate full) in to every meal we make.   This will also be a great way for us to get over our fears & dislikes of the veggies that traumatized us as children.

February Goals:

♥ Hoop at least 3x a week for at least 30 minutes.
♥ Actively work more on filling my Etsy shop with more products
♥ Begin to (re)learn to use my cameras, particularly my digital camera
♥ Finish up the two writing projects I did not finish in January.
♥ Clear the last of the credit card debt from 1 of 4 credit cards.

I have my year long goals and try to make fronts on those end, actively targeting certain ones each month. If you want to talk veggie ideas, let me know!

Those are great goals, especially the one where you pay off your credit debt (I’m in the same boat). My monthly goal is to get another writing job and finish my graduate school application.

I’m participating in the iTC, too! Trying not to procrastinate so much as well as learn how to do a split! haha. simple but i’d feel better of myself.
