Everyone has their hidden side, words that feel and ring true deep in their soul, with definitions created and bound by inspirations, interactions, and truths.
While in my heart of hearts, I know it’s rock and roll, there’s strains of a deep Southern song that hums through occasionally. It’s a South I’ve never experienced, that probably formed over romanticized visions of the South as seen through True Blood, The Man in the Moon, and more.
It’s a South of dive bars with jukeboxes that play AC/DC and serve cheap beer, of humid nights and fireflies, of swimming in lakes and making love in the back of pickup trucks.

I sooooo want to go to the south.
OMG I have the same thing when I hear “Sweet Home Alabama” playing or also when watching True Blood. My hubby is a country boy and SO wants us to move south, maybe me in those cowboy boots will satisfy his craving! Thanks for this.

Simplicity is always in.
I always want to visit the American countryside.
I’ve only watched one episode of True Blood and know I shouldn’t watch anymore for I will get horribly addicted ;(
I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s like when I hear a guitarist using a slide, I get chills. And, the song in the beginning of True Blood, so amazing!

I love this! It looks a lot like what we wear most of the time during the summer here in OK…including the Pabst ;)
