With all of the holidays about, there is a LOT to love right now!
♥ Signs of Affection: The Faux Beau has been engrossed in the new World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King for the past few weeks. As a result, my time with him has significantly decreased. One Saturday I was feeling lonely while he was at work. So when he came home that evening, he came bearing a box of a dozen beautiful long-stemmed roses. I may have teared up. He’s also made time on certain days to join me for lunch or dinner, come over to watch a couple of episodes of tv, and to see the new Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. They may be small things, but it is nice to know that he cares enough to make the time… and it makes the time much more meaningful!

♥ Packages! In a bit of holiday indulgence and giving to others, it is now the season of packages! There is Lime Crime makeup on its way for review, an order from Paraphernalia, and perhaps a new new purse on their way to me! And that’s not counting cards and orders for others! <3
♥ Holiday Food! (And home cooked food!) The nice thing about a professional job is the holiday parties! This morning was a breakfast for the Development Staff, which wasn’t our normal bagels & fruit! There was bread pudding, eggs, bacon, and so much more! And in a few weeks our small department will go to the local pub (during work hours, natch ;) for some drinking and snacking. Our group loves any excuse to get together and eat. The Faux Beau and I ventured up to Northern Indiana for Thanksgiving with his parents– the weather was beautiful, the food was tasty, and how can I complain when there is pie!?!
♥ La-La-Lottie! Who am I kidding? EVERY day I love Miss Lottie! For those who haven’t met her, Miss Lottie is my precocious kitten made of epic smart, epic cute, and epic doom! Here is the delightful girl, playing in one of her favorite places– my crinoline.
♥ Unexpected bursts of Creativity Those who know me in real life may know that for several years I have felt a very unpleasant strain on my creative energies. I’ve been unmotivated, uninspired, and as a result, given up on many hobbies that I loved and made me very happy. This past week though (thanks partially to Ms. Vanda at Paraphernalia!), I have felt a very unexpected and appreciated burst of creative energy. I’ve been mentally excited about creating things. Hopefully you will soon see the fruits of this energy– in sequined, studded, feathered fabulousness!
Obviously that’s quite a lot for me to be thankful for this season!

OMG YOUR CAT IS SO CUTE. Where’d you get your crinoline at? I’m going to need two soon, a black one and a hot pink one (for my Trashy Diva dresses! *does the excited dance*). My kitten is really bad about chewing on jewelry, and THAT is annoying.
I’m feeling more creative too, lately, after a long period of being without a muse. Must be something in the air! Can’t wait to see what you come up with :)
Miss Lottie is so stinkin’ adorable!
And her name is cute too =D
Aw little squee at Miss Lottie! I’m getting ready to snuggle with my kitten for the night :)
I also put packages on my TILT: http://fishnorfowl.net/?p=279
Aw, thanks ladies! I have no doubts that Miss Lottie would lay belly up and coo at you (or maybe do her infamous Thriller dance) at your sweet compliments!
@Michelle – My crinoline was actually a gift from my grandmother– it belonged to a friend of hers who square danced! I have some links at home for places that have crinolines (I’ve been wanting a short black one for years now!) and I will pass them along when I get home!
Miss Lottie is so cute and funny! Love your blog! Thanks for sharing!
