Girl Crushin’: Miriam [The Hunger, 1983]

by Ashe on November 10, 2008

If there’s only one character I could dress like for the remainder of my life, it would probably be Miriam from The Hunger.  The lesbo-erotic vampire flick starring the ageless Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon has become a cult classic in its own right.

On her own, Catherine Deneueve is a timeless beauty, with a level of grace, poise, and ease that I’d strive to have but fail to accomplish.  Couple these qualities with a modern but sexy 1940s/1980s styled wardrobe, and my heart beats profusely…

Oh, I agree! Did you see Kai Kunhe’s fall 08 collection? It was inspired by her character…

I LOVE HER. I considered costuming as this character several times, but then I realized no one will ever know who I am dressed as (although it hardly matters I suppose if you look that good!)
