Occasionally I come across a new (to me) band or artist who completely hypnotizes me with their work. Currently, I’m feeling that way about Bat for Lashes song, “What’s a Girl To Do?” Part French Nouvelle Vague, part art rock, there’s something engaging and enrapturing about lead singer/instrumentalist/visual artist Natasha Khan’s voice. The video is haunting and surreal, teetering on the verge of over-done and independent brilliance.
